This series captures moving stories through still moments. As we grow older, something is always quietly slipping away — people, places, feelings, or parts of ourselves.
Between celebration and loss, Happy Birthday reflects on growing up as a tender and irreversible passage.
BEIJING FOLDING
Photography series · 2021
Photographer: Weijin
Inspired by the Chinese science fiction short story Folding Beijing, this series imagines the same moment unfolding across different spatial states.
Each image is built as a frozen scene: the same location, the same instant, yet slightly shifted by another layer of reality. Through still photography, Beijing Folding explores how space, time and social distance can quietly overlap — as if the city itself were folding, revealing another world beneath the visible one.
